Ranger Truck Trim Levels and Body Styles
Ranger pickups are built in four trim levels: XL, XLT, Sport and FX4 Off-Road, each with varying degrees of standard features and options. XLT trucks have body-color front and rear bumpers. A chrome H-bar grill is standard on 4x2 XLT trucks. The Ranger Sport has a black grille with a body-color surround. Move up to a Sport SuperCab for standard step bars. Sport SuperCab 4x4 trucks and FX4 models have standard skid plates to protect the truck's underbody. Rangers are available as Regular Cabs and as two-door or four-door SuperCab pickup trucks. A 7-foot bed is optional on XL and XLT Regular Cab trucks.Ranger Powertrains

Audio systems (except the basic AM/FM) have an audio input jack and are MP3 capable. SIRIUS Satellite Radio is available on XL, XLT, Sport and FX4 Off-road trucks.The 2009 Ford Ranger is a great truck for New Hampshire driving. This compact pickup truck offers regular-cab and extended SuperCab models spanning four trim packages. SuperCabs are available with two rear fold-down jump seats and back-hinged rear access doors. Regular cab models offer 6- and 7-foot cargo beds; SuperCabs use the 6-foot only. The 2009 Ford Ranger is available with two engines: a 143-hp 2.3-liter 4-cylinder or a 207-hp 4.0-liter V6. Both are available with manual or automatic transmission. The 148-hp 3.0-liter V6 has been discontinued. Maximum towing capacity is 5980 lb. Rear-wheel drive is standard. Ranger offers part-time 4-wheel drive that includes a low-range gear for off-roading, but should not be left engaged on dry pavement. ABS is standard. No side airbags are offered.
